The thumb rest was developed to take advantage of the permissible total height of 45mm of the gun in the IPSC Standard Box*. Together with an optimization of the shape a total increase of the contact area of plus 20% was achieved - compared to the original thumb rest - allowing the shooter a better control of the gun.
The checkering was improved to increase grip while allowing for sufficient surface to allow for reliable adhesion of a grip tape if so required.
The thumb rest is made from high-strength, black coated Aluminium, fits the original CZ hole pattern in the frame and is supplied with two mounting bolts.
* Following installation, a cross check in the IPSC box is recommended!
