Improved Magazine Release / Mag Catch for Typhoon F12

Advantages: 

• Optimized shape, grip and guidance of the release button for improved accessibility as well as easier and safer operation:
  The original release button follows the concept of "design before function" - due to its shape following the lines of the lower receiver it is small and not easily accessible while the surface offers very little grip.
  The TECTAL version is noticeably larger, has a grippy surface and an additional ledge which aids in the positioning of the finger on the release button.     

• Revised, positive connection between the connecting bolt and the release button for reliable operation and even operating forces due to improved stability:
  In the original design the release button is retained by friction only and at least with one R&D gun the release button detached repeatedly from the connecting bolt requiring the shooter to push on the bolt head alone. The interaction of the original parts has also proven to be unprecise which resulted in less than a 100% reliable ejection of the magazine.
  In the TECTAL version these aspects were addressed with a more elaborate and a considerably more solid solution.    

• Robust execution from high-strength Aluminium with hard coat anodizing and surface treated steel for longevity
