In order to increase the TECTAL product range and offer new options mainly for the European market we have developed high-quality and highly functional upgrades for the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 "Made in Austria":

TECTAL Muzle Brake 1/2" x 28 (PN 04.115) -- initially developed for AR-15 PCCs the muzzle break is also compatible with the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 and available since late 2019 .

TECTAL Safety Selectors (PN 04.116 / 04.117 / 04.118 / 04.119) -- the TECTAL safety selectors are available in different sizes and for right- and left-handed shooters. The small safety selectors correct the most obvious fault in ergonomics and shooting comfort by eliminating the constant chafing of the original plastic safety selector against the trigger finger. As opposed to other solutions the safety can still be activated / deactivated from both sides of the gun. The large safety selectors are slightly shorter than the original but due to their design offer a large actuating surface and superior accessibility even with gloves etc. to allow for reliable operation under all circumstances. All safety selectors are precision machined from high-strength Aluminium and coated black offering superior robustness and longevity when compared to the original parts. The safety selectors are available from now on .

TECTAL Charging Handle (PN 04.120) -- the TECTAL charging handle is extend to allow for rapid charging without wasting valuable time "looking for" the diminutive original handle. The open design and extended length of the charging handle also allows for more space and potentially more distance from the the upper Picatinny rail which is prone to cause injuries to knuckles during rapid charging. The charging handle is expected to become available at the end of May 2020 .

TECTAL Mag Well (PN 04.123) -- the mag well is also based on our experience with the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 during several IPSC matches. While the original mag well is bevelled well for a standard carbine a quick magazine change remains challenging. Apart from allowing faster and easier reloads the TECTAL mag well will be easy and quick to mount, requiring no changes to the gun. It will be machined from high-strength Aluminium offering a maximum of robusteness and longevity. The mag well is also expected to become available at the end of MAy 2020 .

Further upgrades such as for the magazine release and the trigger pack are under development and will be presented in due course.

7 shooters of the TECTAL Shooting Team competed in the divisions STANDARD, PCC and OPEN during the Slovak Open 2019.
The 15 stages with a total of approx. 300 rounds were completed within one day. Due to an efficient organisation this could be accomplished in good time without any excessive delays. The stage design featuring plenty of moving targets was very good resulting in an interesting and demanding match. With intermittent rain starting at lunch time on Saturday the conditions deteriorated somewhat and - as to be expected - added an additional challenge. This however did not lessen the enjoyment of a great match with more than 250 international participants.
All current TECTAL parts offered for IPSC guns were used and again proved their worth as IPSC competition ready upgrades.

Due to time constraints unfortunately only 2 shooters of the TECTAL Shooting Team could compete in the divisions STANDARD and PCC in the 5th Arsenal Cup in Hungary. Following an exhausting drive of +650km a total of 24 Stages were shot successfully in 2 days at high midsummer temperatures. The 24 stages were of a technically demanding design so that the match – in combination with the high temperatures - was considered by the shooters of the TECTAL Shooting Team to have been a real challenge for their skills and stamina. In both divisions STANDARD und PCC the TECTAL produced parts for CZ pistols as well as the upgrades for AR-15 Pistol Caliber Carbines were subjected to the match conditions and again proved their worth with flawless function.

11 Shooters of the TECTAL Shooting Team competed in the divisions STANDARD, OPEN and PCC during the XI. Extreme Euro Open 2019. For more than half of our shooters this was their first ever match in the Extreme - series.
We are proud that all members of the TECTAL shooting team successfully completed the 30 stages and each one of us has gained valuable experience the like of which can only be had at such large, international events. After the dust has settled following three hot and demanding days of shooting the consensus in the team was that “After the Extreme is before the Extreme - we will be back!”.
The match itself with a total of 30 stages was of excellent design with few no-shoots and plenty of moving targets allowing for fast and highly dynamic shooting without ever being easy. A grand total of 1142 registered, international shooters with some of the biggest names in IPSC participating speaks for itself.
All TECTAL parts for CZ pistols, the Beretta CX4 and the AR-15 pistol caliber carbines as well as the new 2011 magazine floor plates were used during the EEO with every part providing flawless function and proving its worth as an IPSC - competition ready upgrade. In addition, the TECTAL steel - recoil spring guide rod with PU - buffer plate and brass guide block (PN 04.112) for the Beretta CX 4 was subjected to a final and successful test and will become available shortly on www.tectal.at .
